Roy-Pitz and Higher Mountain Glass have been working hand in hand since the beginning of our company’s history.  Working together at local events such as ChambersFest and IceFest, it didn’t take too long to figure out that we should be putting our beer into his glassware.  Once we saw his shop, (where you can find multiple bonfire pits and a disc golf course) we realized that was just the beginning of how we could work together.

Making Liquid Art at Roy-Pitz means a lot of things to us.  One of the most important aspects is supporting local art, local businesses and promoting artists.  This couldn’t be truer with the amazing talents of Kevin Beecher from Higher Mountain Glass.  Kevin has been honing his glass blowing skills for 19 years allowing him to start his own company and make amazing glass art.

With our recent expansion to Philadelphia we knew it was important to work with Kevin to help promote Liquid Art.  Kevin designed and created almost 100 beer sculptures, heating up the top of our bottles and stretching them into heads and faces.  He transformed the Liquid Art bottles themselves into dragons, ducks, minotaurs and other crazy mythological creatures which adorn the space in Philly.  These little guys look great and catch the eye of folks enjoying food and beer in the space.  Kevin also made beautiful airlocks for the top of our oak barrels.  These genius “S” designs allow for water to sit inside a glass tube and act as a barrier to outside oxygen while also allowing the barrel to vent CO2.  Not only do they look great but they are scientifically functional as well.

Next time you’re at the one of our retail locations take a look around.  Chances are you’re surrounded by glassware, beer monsters and airlocks that have been blown by our good friend and artist Kevin Beecher.
